Its absurd that laptops are now becoming a standard gadget, as if you should own one. In fact demand is so big that taiwanese manufactures are betting on component shortages already. It doesn’t seem like anything will hold back the rise of laptops at present. I think what makes it tough is that the technology changes all the time.

Gaming laptops have recently been attracting a lot of attention. These days you get a lot more for your money because the new technology is always poised to be released. The power of gaming laptops has greatly advanced and its really a feasible means of gaming. Even more impressive these days In my opinion is how sleek the designs are getting especially when you think about much performance is in them. Power of computers should always be a distance ahead of laptops but its still inspiring to see. Everyone always desires to extract stupid amounts of power from compact packages so I would think thats where gaming laptops are destined.

Custom laptops will always be about because the mass models do not offer the spec the particular niche markets need. With custom built laptops you usually get to know what make of components is going into the laptop. You can usually save money on parts you do not desire by specifying the laptop to your requirements. Premade laptop computers are designed for common tasks and not upto doing more specific tasks. Power users require custom laptops because of this. I like that idea that there are numerous of smaller brands giving great support for custom laptops. Yet an additional great point.

It surely will interesting to see what comes out next. The latest trend along with those mentioned seems to be inexpensive umpc’s. The Asus Eee just built a new niche market. I would like to see a bigger version of these cheap umpc’s. I feel it would be a major success. If we ignore processing speed I’m certaiin we’d witness those versions of laptops today. I’m confident we’ll see ultra light gaming laptops soon. Every year we encounter new gadgets so who knows what we’ll see next.
