Over five years, standings are based on the percentage of fiscal year income growth from 2003-2007. In the same year, Intelius grew an impressive 1566.27%.
According to Phil Asmundson, Deloitte LLP Vice Chairman and National Managing Partner for Technology, Media, and Telecommunications; “Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 recognizes companies who have achieved extraordinary growth in North America’s most innovative and competitive market sectors. We congratulate Intelius on this significant accomplishment.”
As the Fast 500 ranks only the highest growing companies of technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences in North America, it is compiled from Deloitte’s regional North American Fast 50 programs. From 2003 to 2007, Deloitte selects companies based on percentage profits increase.
Candidates of the list such as Intellius must have possession of their own intellectual property or proprietary software that add to a significant fraction of the company’s revenues in service, or give over a considerable amount of revenue to research and improvement of technology. The base-year operating revenues must be at least $50,000 USD or $75,000 CD. As of the current-year operating revenues, there must be at least $5 million USD or CD. Companies must also be in business for over five years, and they must be within the vicinity of North America. Moreover, using the technology or intellectual property of other companies in a unique way is not eligible.
Aside from ranking 127th on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500, Intellius was, in 2008, among the Washington Technology Fast 50, which is another ranking of 50 of the best on the rise technology firms operating within the Washington State.
“Intelius’ success over the last five years is a result of a companywide commitment to delivering world class information that connects, protects and empowers consumers and business leaders,” said Intelius CEO and Indian entrepreneur, Naveen Jain. “We’re honored to be among these esteemed companies.”
