Halloween Party Ideas

Witches have long since been a part of Halloween lore. Every year, you’re certain to have more than a few witches of all shapes and sizes tapping on your door for a trick or a treat. Celebrate witches – the good, the bad and the ugly – by holding a Which Witch is Which Halloween Celebration! There are plenty of great halloween party ideas that go along with the Witch theme, and you and your guests are bound to have a wicked good time. Play “Which Witch is Which” – the guessing game that brings to life classic witches from childhood tales and films. Hop on your flying broom for a affair full of witchcraft games, devilishly delicious witch cakes, and a bubbling green concoction of toad-ally tasty punch.

Halloween Party Ideas

Nothing sets the mood like frightful Halloween decor. String up dark paper bat garland. Cut out oversized question marks from black paper and string those up also. Use ink to create fingerprints onto clear acetate paper, cut out and attach to mirrors and windows around the home! Of course, no murder mystery would be complete without a couple of suspicious “weapons” lying around. Leave out items like a wrench, toy dagger and mark and empty bottle, “POISON” to bring on the suspicion!Fix peanut butter cookies and chocolate cookies to give to your guests. Put the cookies in a clear plastic bag, alternating the peanut butter cookies with the chocolate cookies to match with the orange and black theme. Tie the bag shut with a pretty piece of orange or black ribbon.

A witch isn’t quite as magical without her broom. If you have enough party space, prepare broom races for your witches-in-training.
You’ll either need a large room (think finished basement or living room with the furniture cleared to side) or if it’s a nice, sunny autumn day, have your broom races on the lawn.Be sure you have at least one broom per party guest. Fortunately, you probably have at least one or two in the house and you can purchase the rest at a dollar store. You can even ask each witch BYOB… Bring Your Own Broom (but don’t forget to send it back home with her).
